Since its debut on October 12, 2022, Corks & Forks has delivered unforgettable experiences:
- In 2022, Around the World took guests on a global tasting journey, featuring wines from eleven distinct regions.
- In 2023, The Big 12 celebrated the University’s entry into its new athletic conference with twelve wines—six red and six white—symbolizing the twelve teams in the division.
- In 2024, Haunting at the Hilton brought a playful twist, pairing ten hand-selected wines with nostalgic Halloween candy for a delightfully spooky experience.
We’re already looking ahead to our next event on October 8, 2025 — Hollywood Style. Expect 1950s glamour, vintage charm and another inspired wine selection. You won’t want to miss it!
Meet the Student Managers
Alex Garton – Event Manager
Hello, my name is Alex, and I’m a junior at the Conrad N. Hilton College focusing on Events and Meeting Management. I currently serve as the 2025 Event Manager for Corks & Forks.
My passion for hospitality began in my hometown, where I hosted tennis tournaments at the local country club. Since then, my love for events has only grown especially through my involvement at Hilton College.
I serve as the second vice president of the National Association of Catering and Events and have had the opportunity to volunteer at both last year’s Corks & Forks and the most recent Gourmet Night assisting with registration. These experiences inspired me to seek out more opportunities and challenges that will help me grow professionally and personally.
Being the Event Manager for Corks & Forks has already been an incredible learning experience. It’s allowed me to build leadership skills, work with a dedicated team and handle real-world challenges that go beyond the classroom. Most importantly, I’ve discovered the joy of collaborating with others to create memorable experiences.
I’m excited to continue this journey in events and help bring special moments to life.
Erin Mosel – Marketing Manager
Hello, my name is Erin Mosel, and I’m the Marketing Manager for Corks & Forks. I’m a rising junior on the Events and Meeting Management track at Hilton College.
I discovered my passion for hospitality in middle school, and it has only grown stronger since joining Hilton College. I'm actively involved as a Hilton College Student Ambassador, the first vice president of the National Association of Catering and Events, and a member of the Undergraduate Student Advisory Council.
I was a key volunteer for Gourmet Night, another student-led event, and had the pleasure of volunteering at last year’s Corks & Forks, where I helped with registration. That experience sparked my enthusiasm for the event and inspired me to join the management team.
Serving as Marketing Manager has strengthened my leadership skills and taught me the value of teamwork. I’m excited to dive deeper into the marketing side of the events industry.
Whether planning youth events at my church, orchestra socials or friends' weddings, I’ve always loved creating meaningful experiences for others. My dream is to one day own a floral or linen company to help bring clients' visions to life. I find joy in seeing guests’ faces light up when they walk into an event, and I hope to bring that same joy to every client I serve in the future.
Daniel Casiano – Wine and Food Manager
Hello, I’m Daniel Casiano, a freshman at Hilton College, where I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management.
During my first year, I volunteered at Corks & Forks and participated in HC101, both of which helped me build a strong foundation in leadership, problem-solving and creative thinking. I also began interning at the Hilton ºù«Ӱҵ, gaining hands-on experience in various hotel roles including cook, prep cook, server, bartender and banquet setup.
My interest in the restaurant industry grew as I gained more experience behind the bar, learning to craft drinks and improve my customer service and memorization skills. I’m also a member of a fraternity, which has helped me build meaningful connections and strengthen my leadership abilities.
I’m passionate about one day owning and operating a restaurant, and I’m constantly seeking opportunities to learn what it takes to run a successful operation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fraternity brothers and practicing new cocktail recipes.
Currently, I serve as the Wine Manager for the Corks & Forks event, and I’m excited to help make this year’s event a memorable one for everyone involved.
