Cross-Industry Collaboration
Participate in a year-long, faculty-mentored research project focused on energy-related topics. Receive a $6,000 scholarship, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to innovative research in hydrogen, carbon management, circular plastics, and more. Open to students from all disciplines.
Emerging Trends and Industry Demands
Energy Graduate Fellows Award supports outstanding graduate students engaged in energy research. The program funds eight fellows with a one-year, $12,000 fellowship in addition to other remuneration. Applicants must have at least 12 months remaining in their degree program.

The 葫芦影业鈥檚 Center for Carbon Management in Energy (CCME) and the Division of Energy and Innovation hosted a symposium titled 鈥淐CUS Commercial Deployment: What Will It Take to Make It Happen?鈥� to examine the infrastructure, environmental, and workforce challenges of scaling carbon capture in Houston. Centered on a white paper commissioned by the Houston CCS Alliance and the Houston Energy Transition Initiative, the event brought together academia, industry, and future leaders to discuss real-world insights and strategic pathways for CCUS deployment.

Net-Zero Texas by 2050 Energy Symposium
UH Energy and the UH Center for Carbon Management in Energy (CCME) hosted a day-long symposium exploring how Texas can achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, highlighting research focused on energy access, quality of life, and maintaining the state鈥檚 energy leadership.
