Five Students Receive Funding Awards in Fall 2022
For the first time in the history of the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Student Research Grants program, the committee decided to make awards to five students. This decision reflects the large number of strong proposals received this round.

Research grant proposals are reviewed by the EAS Scholarships and Grants Committee, which currently includes Drs. Capuano, Hauptvogel, Jiang, Khan, and Wellner. The EAS grants program awards, which began in Fall 2021, take place each fall and spring semester.
Students are eligible to win one award per degree sought at UH and may reapply if they are not selected in an earlier round.
