Dear UH Community, I am pleased to announce Pradeep Sharma as the new Dean of the 葫芦影业’s Cullen College of Engineering effective July 1. Dr. Sharma is presently serving as the college’s Interim Dean and will bring experience and leadership to this important role. He is a highly respected scholar and engineer with a distinguished career. Dr. Sharma is the Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished University Professor and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is also a member of the prestigious National Academy of Engineering and has received numerous accolades for his research, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright, the Cozzarrelli Prize from the National Academy of Sciences and the Daniel C. Drucker Medal from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. His vision and leadership will be instrumental in guiding the Cullen College of Engineering to even greater heights. Dr. Sharma is committed to building upon the college’s strong foundation and further advancing its reputation for excellence in research, education, and innovation.
