Dear Faculty, The 葫芦影业, including UH at Sugar Land and Katy, will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, due to severe winter weather conditions across the Houston area. All classes, including those conducted online, will be canceled for the day. A campus closure message has been distributed to the entire UH community, but please remind your students that classes are canceled. Road conditions are expected to be hazardous across the city, so also encourage them to remain safe at home. Likewise, prioritize your own safety and do not drive to campus. Faculty may opt for a make-up class date and are encouraged to provide course materials through or other platforms. These materials may include recorded lectures, posted readings, or other resources. Adjustments to syllabi should be made as needed to account for tomorrow’s closure. The deadline for students to add classes has been extended to Jan. 23, and April 29 is the designated make-up class date for Spring 2025. To communicate with students, you may use the or functions within Canvas. Students can also be reached via their Cougarnet email addresses through using myUH Self-Service.
